Mr. Jim Johnson is a 4th Degree black belt with the T.T.C.A. certified by Grandmaster Y. S. Choi of Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Jim Johnson began his tae kwon do training in December of 1973 under Instructors Mr. Brandon Baker and Mr. Odell Bingham , who were overseen by Master Nak Yong Chung, based in Louisville, KY. Mr. Johnson received his 1st degree black belt in 1985 with the World Tae Kwon do Association (WTA) and then earned his 2nd degree black belt in 1996 and his 3rd degree black belt in 2006 with the Traditional Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Association under direction of Grandmaster Y.S. Choi. Mr. Johnson passed his 4th degree exam on March 26, 2010. Mr. Johnson began teaching tae kwon do in the late 1980's in Webster County, Kentucky and now teaches in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Mr. Johnson has taught both men's and women's self defense classes for the University of Kentucky and now through the Muhlenberg County Board of Education. He has won many tae kwon do tournaments throughout the years including 1st place for sparring and forms competition in Evansville- Indiana, Madison-Wisconsin, and back to back championships at the Mid-West tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Johnson and his wife, Gail, have been married for 29 years and have three children. Leah-26, Jarrod-21, and Jenna-17. Mr. Johnson attends Bethlehem Baptist Church where, for the past 15 years he has taught royal ambassadors, a mission class for 6-12 year old boys. Mr. Johnson is employed as general sales manager at Hudson Toyota/Cheverlot in Madisonville, Kentucky.
